Tennis Elbow Brace

A tennis elbow brace or band are often prescribed by a doctor for people suffering from the condition known as tennis elbow or lateral epicondylitis. Hundreds of thousands of tennis elbow braces are being sold yet people don't understand that it is only prolonging their suffering and a tennis elbow brace just helps to mask the pain!

There are quite a number of reasons why investing in a tennis elbow brace will not heal your elbow pain. One of them is that restricting or immobilizing the movement of your arm may prevent further damage but it does not prevent in the negative structure of your elbow. Tennis elbow has a very different dynamic to it; a sharp pain that causes dynamic which in turn reultsin the increase of tightness on your elbow and pain. Braces for your tennis elbow doesnt do much in actually reversing that dynamic. Therefore, you will notice that when you do remove that brace, your tennis elbow pain comes back immediately and often you are in that same amount of pain you were before you actually put on the brace!

Another reason is that tennis elbow splints and braces don't do anything to the inflammation response which is the main reason of the elbow pain. Since it does provide temporary relief, it is because of this that your doctor will prescribe you with a tennis elbow brace thinking that since you have a temporary relief, it is working on your abillity to heal. Instead of trying to mask the tennis elbow pain with a brace and restricting movement, one could actually try to reverse the actual dynamic thats causing the pain.
